Skiing and snowboarding - the slopes are waiting for you!
The Zell am See-Kaprun skiing area is perfectly suited for professional skiers / snowboarders and beginners alike. Both the Schmittenhöhe and the Kitzsteinhorn promise pure skiing enjoyment on diverse ski slopes in the midst of snowy mountain landscapes. The Schmitten & Maiskogel are the perfect location for skiing families. The skiing season in Zell am See-Kaprun starts early autumn and extends into early summer. On the Kitzsteinhorn glacier you can ski and snowboard on snow-covered slopes for ten months of the year. Alongside the Schmittenhöhe with 77 kilometres and the Kitzsteinhorn with 41 kilometres of ski slopes, the Maiskogel family mountain brings 20km of slopes. Professional skiers can enjoy steep slopes and spectacular descents and challenges for thrill seekers on Schmittenhöhe or Kitzsteinhorn, but there are a lot of easy slopes too.
